A New Direction for the HR Association

August 14, 2013

Changes are coming! The Fond du Lac Area Human Resources Association Board of Directors is excited to share some highlights of upcoming changes to the Association structure! The Board has been working very hard to re-evaluate and redefine the strategy and goals for the HR Association. This strategy centers around providing support for the HR professional, as well as strategies to further enhance the services and support we provide to the community.

Components of the strategy include: further collaboration with the Assimilation Group and the Senior HR Leadership Group. The Assimilation Group was formed to ensure broad-based collaboration in our area to address impending labor shortage issues; the Senior HR Leadership Group is an informal group of the HR leaders found in our major businesses in Fond du Lac. The group meets quarterly to discuss significant HR issues impacting our organizations and share best practices.

The Board has also revisited the committee structure of the HR Association, realigning the committees to focus on the important recruitment and retention work that needs to be accomplished in our community. The details of the HR Association’s strategic plan will be reviewed at our September 10th program meeting - ‘Views from the Top Seat in HR’ Program! An updated committee list can be found at http://fdlhr.shrm.org.
