AREA OF FOCUS:        Membership (Support the Professional)

Committee(s) Supporting this Area of Focus: Communication, Certification, Membership, Student Relations, Governmental Affairs

 

            Goal 1: Study membership base and recommend growth rate for 2014.

 

                        Tactical Plan:

  • Survey of current membership to determine wants and needs to take place in 2013. Completed survey – need to analyze results.
  • Annual membership drive. Membership Gala held in October.
  • Increased social media presence.
  • Offer a certification program for members.
  • Explore expansion of student group to include MPTC HR students.

 

Goal 2: Increase depth of membership by expanding senior-level HR presence at meetings and events.

 

            Tactical Plan:

  • Explore a senior-level event for 2014. Held Sr. HR panel event in 2013.
  • Invite senior HR group to provide feedback on Strategy. Sr. HR group reviewed strat plan in 2013.
  • Develop a Board liaison to the Senior group. Board president is liaison to Sr. group.

 

AREA OF FOCUS:        Recruitment of Talent (Support Businesses & Community)

Committee(s) Supporting this Area of Focus: Assimilation Delegates, Programming, Student Relations

 

Goal 1:  Improve opportunities to attract qualified job candidates to the Fond du Lac area and improve opportunities for youth career options.

 

            Tactical Plan:

  • Collaborate with the Assimilation group to explore opportunities to assume leadership and/or supportive roles in carrying that work forward.
  • Propose to the Assimilation group to expand the HR Chapter President role to include membership and involvement in the oversight group of Assimilation. President-elect will sit on Assimilation group.
  • Reevaluate HR Chapter Committee Structure.  Appoint delegates to the committees of the Assimilation group as appropriate and approved by the Assimilation group.
  • Include creative and innovative recruitment program.

 

AREA OF FOCUS:        Retention of Talent (Support Businesses & Community

Committee(s) Supporting this Area of Focus: Assimilation Delegates, Programming

 

Goal 1: Improve opportunities for workers to find meaningful work and attractive pay and benefits in the Fond du Lac area.

 

Tactical Plan:

  • Host a retention best practice. Retention Best Practices Roundtable being held on February 11.
  • Assist in promoting participation in the Wage & Benefit Survey.

 

 

Goal 2: Provide resources to local businesses on healthcare reform.

 

Tactical Plan:

  • Host an event related to healthcare reform. Healthcare Reform event being held on September 23.
